Travel tech provider DCS Plus acquired by Abingdon Software Group

U.K.-based Abingdon Software Group has acquired DCS Plus, an enterprise software provider for travel companies, for an undisclosed amount.

DCS Plus, founded in 2002 and based in Romania, offers a range of software products such as booking and distribution systems and mid- and back-office automation tools. The software company is currently used by travel companies in over 60 countries.

Abingdon Software Group said the acquisition expands its portfolio of software products and “will accelerate innovation, open new markets, and further strengthen its position as a trusted technology partner for the global travel industry.” The company currently owns and operates a portfolio of software vendors, including firms in the aviation and cruise and hospitality sectors.

“DCS Plus is an outstanding example of a global SaaS company with a loyal client base and highly competitive products. We are excited to support the next phase of growth and help expand the brand’s global reach,” said Asheque Shams, CEO of Abingdon Software Group.

Abingdon Software Group will also help DCS Plus increase artificial intelligence use on its platform, the companies said.

“Joining forces with Abingdon Software Group gives us the resources and the strategic framework to accelerate our international growth and continue innovating in an industry undergoing deep transformation,” said Cristian Dinca, founder and CEO of DCS Plus.

On LinkedIn, Sibel Aptula, head of marketing for DCS Plus, added: “This partnership doesn’t change who we are, it amplifies who we are. It gives us broader reach, more resources and a stronger network to innovate faster and deliver even more value to our partners and clients around the world.”
