Point.me announces American Express partnership

Points and travel reward search platform point.me, one of PhocusWire’s Hot 25 Travel Startups for 2024, has launched a partnership with American Express that will allow card members to compare flight options across more than 150 participating airlines that they can redeem with their AmEx reward points.

The new complimentary service will offer “a suite of features” to find flight options with Membership Rewards points and access step-by-step booking instructions.

Adam Morvitz, founder and CEO of point.me, said the company is “ecstatic” to be partnering with American Express.

“This partnership provides American Express Card Members with an easy way to search and compare the incredible airline loyalty transfer options offered through their Membership Rewards Program,” said Morvitz. “It will help them find the best way to travel – from first and business class seats to dream trips for the entire family.”

Morvitz also shared the news on LinkedIn, adding the partnership was more than two years in the making.

“This is a HUGE day for point.me as it serves as an example of the BIG enterprise builds that the team is capable of across loyalty, membership and employee perks and fintech solutions,” he wrote.

Point.me raised $10 million in its Series A funding round in September. At the time, the metasearch engine was already working with loyalty rewards credit card providers including Capital One, Chase, Bilt, Citi and American Express.
