Park Hyatt Melbourne celebrates its canine ambassador Mr Walker


 

Park Hyatt Melbourne announced with a mix of heartfelt gratitude and celebration that its much-loved canine ambassador Mr. Walker will officially retire on 17th January.

The nine–year-old Labrador who joined the hotel in 2017 will step into a well-earned retirement. 

Mr Walker’s transition aligns with expert recommendations, ensuring guide dogs retire at this age to enjoy a relaxed and happy life.

An iconic pooch

During his remarkable tenure, Mr. Walker became a true icon of Park Hyatt Melbourne, even earning several Employee of the Month awards: a testament to his exceptional dedication and charm. 

He will continue to serve on his current schedule of Monday to Friday 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM until 16th January.

This offers guests and staff a special opportunity to spend time with him, celebrating his extraordinary contributions and creating lasting memories.

To honour Mr. Walker’s extraordinary contributions, Park Hyatt Melbourne shares his story and celebrates his legacy online and across social networks in the days leading up to his retirement.

Park Hyatt Melbourne invites the public to join the celebration into Mr Walker’s transition as they honour his service and prepare for the arrival of Charlie, a playful six-year-old Labrador who will join the hotel as the resident dog ambassador beginning 20th February. 

This bittersweet transition marks the end of one beautiful chapter and the beginning of another, as Park Hyatt Melbourne continues its tradition of canine companionship and connection.
