Nuitée raises $48M to grow partnerships, products, team

Dublin-based startup Nuitée has received $48 million in Series A funding as it continues to build technology for hotel connectivity and distribution.

The round was led by Accel and the company said it has also partnered with industry leaders including Booking Holdings chairman Robert Mylod Jr., former Priceline CEO Jeff Boyd and Sam Shank, founder of HotelTonight, who is joining the company as an advisor.

Med Benmansour, founder of Nuitée, said in a blog post that he started the company with partner Said Rkaibi and founding member Olivier Dheur in 2017 with his eyes set on revolutionizing the industry with an “API-first approach” after being inspired by companies such as Plaid, Stripe and Twilio.

“Our vision for Nuitée has always been clear: we want to be the go-to infrastructure for travel services –  the ‘Stripe for travel,’” Benmansour said. “What started as a solution for connecting hotels to booking systems has since grown into a comprehensive platform that serves both the demand and supply sides of the travel ecosystem.”

The company links large hospitality chains such as Accor, Hilton and Best Western with online travel agencies, corporate travel firms, financial institutions and others including Agoda, Rakuten Travel and eDreams. Nuitée also partners with companies such as HyperGuest, Cloudbeds, Mews, Sabre, Amadeus.

Benmansour claims the company has expanded tenfold since 2022 and said he expects it to continue to grow “exponentially” after bootstrapping while remaining profitable.

“Nuitée is quickly becoming the backbone of travel technology and is on a path to reshape the entire industry,” said Ben Fletcher, partner at Accel, who will join the Nuitée board. “Med and his team have built a very impressive business with many parallels to companies like Qualtrics and Atlassian: bootstrapping first to build a quiet, profitable powerhouse and now, ready to go big globally.”

The company said it will use the funding to expand its products, develops new partnerships and grow its team, which has offices in Ireland, Spain, London, Morocco and the United States, among other locations.
