Meili, the company from former CarTrawler executives Bobby Healy and Mike McGearty that integrates airlines and travel customers with car rental businesses, has raised €8.1 million.
The Dublin-based company has partnered with almost 40 companies around the globe including Lufthansa, Latam Airlines, Accor, Journify, Enterprise and Budget. The new funding gives the company the “firepower” to continue to build its ancillary platform that aims to empower travel brands, airlines and mobility providers across the globe, according to CEO and co-founder Mike McGearty.
McGearty, former CEO of CarTrawler, and Healy, former CTO,
founded Meili in 2022. The company has raised more than €20 million to date, according to Business Post.
“We’ve set our sights high, and this milestone is another step toward achieving our vision of driving significant change across the travel industry,” McGearty said in a LinkedIn post.

“As I’ve said before: ‘We believe we will continue to drive significant change in adoption over the next couple of years, and that we can do this in multiple products within the travel industry, not just mobility.’”
Players in the ground transportation arena have seen significant funding in recent months. In the third quarter of this year, for example, Distribusion raised $80 million, Fresh Bus raised $10.5 million, and Moving Tech brought in $11 million.
