Hotel operating platform MAIC has received just over €1 million euros in funding, the company confirmed. The funding round was led by Expon Capital with participation from LBAN and other private investors.
Luxembourg-based MAIC said the capital will be used to “support the company’s international scale-up” and provide product capabilities for independent hotels and multi-property groups. Currently, MAIC operates in nine countries.
“Hospitality operators face increasing pressure to do more with less. We are impressed by the company’s strong traction in driving clear P&L impact within the hotel industry,” said Lily Wang, partner at Expon Capital.
“Given the founders’ deep industry expertise and dedication to their mission, we are confident they are the right partners in bringing value to their customers.”
Founded by former hotel managers in 2023, MAIC offers a unified operating system for hotels. Additionally, the platform connects with operators’ existing property management systems such as Oracle Hospitality Opera, Mews and Apaleo.
“Software should make hotels more human. When automation takes the repetitive admin off the desk, teams spend that time with guests—he work they do best. Service improves, and profit follows naturally,” said MAIC co-founder Vladimir Volkov.
