HostAI is a “growth function as a service” that gives short-term rental brands OTA-grade distribution power. We handle the entire direct revenue engine, from guest acquisition to on-site conversion and retention. Our mission is to help independent brands own their guest relationships and make direct their primary channel. Because we believe the future of travel belongs to operators, not intermediaries.

Below, we asked hostAI founder Amirali Mohajer to share strategic priorities for 2026 and what he’s learned since founding
Strategic goals for 2026
This is the year we prove David can beat Goliath. Our goal is to shift $100 million in total bookings to direct channels: real money back into the P&Ls of small and medium-sized businesses. As AI agents emerge as the new travel bookers, we’re launching products that make our clients discoverable and bookable in this new ecosystem. By year-end, we aim to power direct distribution for 500 brands through expanded PMS partnerships.
Lessons learned since founding
I spent ten years watching brands lose guests to OTAs, thinking they just needed better tools to compete. I was wrong. Direct booking isn’t a tools problem. It’s a systems problem. You can’t beat OTAs with more widgets; you need an entire playbook running 24/7. Here’s what actually matters: In the AI age, anyone can build software. The hard work is becoming so embedded in a brand’s success that you feel their wins and losses as your own. The platforms that thrive won’t be the ones with the most features but those that show up like a teammate: always on and constantly learning.
