Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) launched its new scheduled service to Tokushima, Japan on Saturday, 16th November.
The Tokushima route expands GBA’s network coverage to a total of four Japanese destinations.
This new service operates thrice a week every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday between Hong Kong and Tokushima.
The Tokushima Prefectural Government hosted a welcome ceremony upon arrival of the inaugural flight at Tokushima Awaodori Airport at about 3:00pm, local time.
Tokushima Prefectural Government vice-governor Murakami Koji, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office deputy representative Leo Tze, and GBA chief executive Liza Ng collectively addressed those attending the ceremony.
Ng said: “We are committed to developing the Japanese market seriously. With this Tokushima route and the Sendai service to be launched next month, GBA’s network will reach out to five cities in Japan. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Tokushima Prefectural Government for their great support to us in making this new route possible.”
