Dubai Affirms its Cruise Hub Status with Emirates and MSC Cruises Partnership

In a significant move that reaffirms Dubai’s position as a leading cruise destination, Emirates and MSC Cruises have announced the renewal of their partnership for two more seasons. This announcement was made at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, marking a continuation of a decade-long relationship that has been instrumental in the growth of Dubai’s cruise tourism ecosystem.

The extended partnership promises to enhance the guest experience by offering Fly&Cruise holiday packages, which include Emirates return flights from 21 airports across Europe and South America. This strategic alliance is set to support the expansion of Dubai’s cruise tourism sector.

Nabil Sultan, Emirates’ Executive Vice President for Passenger Sales and Country Management, expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing collaboration, stating, “We’re eager to continue our partnership with MSC Cruises, who have been an integral part of Dubai’s growing cruise tourism industry. We’re confident that we have the right plans as we work closely to deliver a seamless sea-to-air experience for our customers.”

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, echoed this sentiment, “We are delighted to further extend our partnership with Emirates for MSC Euribia Fly&Cruise packages from Dubai this winter season. The synergy between Emirates’ high-quality flight service and the exceptional onboard experience offered by MSC Cruises ensures a stress-free and enjoyable holiday for our guests.”

The collaboration will focus on joint promotional strategies, such as Fly&Cruise, and marketing campaigns in key markets to enhance Dubai’s allure as a cruise destination. Both entities will also share data and insights to improve service delivery, coordinate flight and cruise schedules, and streamline the check-in process at Port Rashid.

Guests availing of the Fly&Cruise packages will enjoy the convenience of dedicated bus transfers from the airport to the ship and a hassle-free luggage transfer system. Emirates’ extensive international network makes these packages accessible from major cities across Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and other European and South American locations.

Furthermore, dedicated Emirates check-in counters at Port Rashid will facilitate a smooth transition for passengers, allowing them to check in their luggage and receive their flight boarding passes up to four hours before departure.

Looking ahead to the winter 2024/25 season, MSC Euribia, the current flagship of MSC Cruises, will set sail from Dubai, offering 7-night itineraries to destinations such as Doha, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and Sir Bani Yas. This island, known for its pristine beaches and diverse wildlife, adds to the allure of the cruise itineraries.

The renewed partnership between Emirates and MSC Cruises is a testament to Dubai’s commitment to establishing itself as the world’s preferred winter cruising destination, offering seamless travel experiences and unparalleled hospitality.

*American cruise guests will soon be able to book their Emirates flights through MSC Cruises from various U.S. cities, further expanding the reach of this successful collaboration.
