Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific hit a new milestone on Wednesday, 11th December, as it welcomed aboard its 250 millionth passenger.
The lucky flyer was Russel Capaniarihan, an overseas Filipino worker in Singapore, who was among the passengers aboard flight 5J 814 from Singapore to Manila.
As she arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila, Capaniarihan received the equivalent of nearly US$5,000, as well as 25 round-trip flights to any of Cebu Pacific’s domestic and international routes.
A heartwarming milestone
Airline president Xander Lao said: “This 250 million passenger milestone is a testament to the trust and loyalty of everyone who has chosen to fly with us. It represents countless stories, reunions, and memorable moments made possible over the years.”
Capaniarihan was slated to board a connecting flight from Manila to her hometown of Bacolod, marking her first time home in 11 years.
She received an equally warm welcome from local representatives at the Bacolod Airport as soon as she arrived.
