Amenitiz raises $45M to fuel AI product growth and market expansion

Hospitality tech platform Amenitiz has landed $45 million in a mix of Series B funding and financing.

The latest funding round what lead by Spanish venture capital firm Kfund through Leadwind, with participation from Thayer Ventures and Columbia Lake Partners. Support was also provided by existing investors, including Eight Roads, Point9, Otium, Backed and Chalfen Ventures.

Barcelona-based Amenitiz, which provides operating systems for independent hoteliers, said the funding will be used to expand across Europe and launch new products. The company specifically highlighted artificial intelligence (AI)-driven product innovation as a goal.

“My parents run a hotel, so I’ve seen firsthand how hard it is for independents to compete without the right tools,” said Amenitiz co-founder and CEO Alexandre Guinefolleau.

“The rise of AI and the digital transformation of hospitality create a once-in-a-generation opportunity for small hotels to leap ahead. This funding allows us to accelerate that mission—so hoteliers can spend less time managing systems and more time creating memorable guest experiences.”

In 2022, Amenitiz raised $30 million in its Series A round and subsequently acquired hotel e-learning provider Ododo for an undisclosed sum.

Since its funding round in 2022, Amenitiz said it has grown from use in 4,000 properties across Europe to over 15,000.

“Independent hotels make up the majority of the market, but most tech solutions still ignore their needs,” said Lucile Cornet, partner at Eight Roads Ventures.

“Amenitiz has proven that purpose-built software for independents can scale fast—and with with 15,000+ properties already onboard, they’re redefining what technology can do for this segment.”
