Pangea has acquired Nomadago, a platform that helps digital nomads coordinate travel plans, for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition is the second for Pangea in recent weeks, having snapped up social app Overlap late last month.
Adding Nomadago to its portfolio is Pangea’s latest move in efforts to consolidate fragmented consumer travel apps.
“Modern travelers are multifaceted; they’re a different persona each time they travel,” said Pangea founder and CEO Matt Gray.
“I could be a remote worker in Cape Town one trip, on a dive boat in the Galapagos the next and in London for business after that. Each time I have a different set of needs, which currently require multiple fragmented point solutions. Nomadago marks an important step in unifying these resources for travelers that tick more than one box.”
The Nomadago app will be fully integrated into Pangea’s platform, with users’ Nomadago profiles, trips and connections migrating as well. Nomadago founders Danny Burton, Ben Spicer and Victor Busk are also joining the Pangea Advisory Board.
“Nomadago was created to make the digital nomad lifestyle easier, more connected and more fulfilling. Our platform has always been about helping people find where they belong, and I’m thrilled to have the Nomadago community join Pangea, allowing us to expand our mission beyond digital nomads, while also continuing to focus on providing the niche resources our users have come to love,” Burton said.
Burton added that the Nomadago directory, the company’s co-living and coworking layer, is still available for digital nomads to find coliving spaces, coworking spots and retreats. He said the directory product layer will be integrated into Pangea’s platform “over time.”
