THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2024  to boost Thailand’s role in the HoReCa industry


With 359+ companies, the event spans 27,000 sq.m., featuring nine segments and the THAIFEX – HOREC Academy, showcasing industry trends. As Day 1 concludes, below are highlighted several key updates emerging at THAIFEX-HOREC Asia, currently underway at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok:

Thailand Ultimate Housekeeping Challenge – A competition featuring 100 skilled Thai hotel housekeepers competing for the prestigious ‘Housekeeping Champion’ title, showcasing excellence in cleanliness and redefining industry standards. This event offers a platform for exchanging cutting-edge cleaning techniques, fostering knowledge sharing, and uniting Housekeeping Clubs and Associations across Thailand.

THAIFEX – HOREC Academy offers a dynamic learning platform for the HORECA industry, featuring forums, culinary demos, workshops, and insights from leaders. Day one emphasised preparing the next generation for hospitality’s future, while day two covered evolving guest needs, sustainability, and regional hotel operations best practices.  

The Xperiential Zone offers firsthand exploration of innovative solutions across 9 industry segments: Bakery & Ice Cream, Cafe & Bar, Dining, Kitchen, Cleaning & Laundry, Furnishings, Wellness, Services, and Tech, along with 6 HORECA trends: sustainability, plant-based menu, contactless, energy efficiency, digital guest experience. Exhibitors like Deesawat showcases The Tree Nest, a contemporary architectural feature harmonising with its surroundings. While Panda Robot showcases the PandaBot R02 Delivery Robot, an intelligent and efficient delivery solution, visitors can also see several other exhibitors displaying their advanced technology.

Visitors were encouraged to attend workshops at the Demo Stage, where Chef David Bonet from Lenôtre School of Culinary Arts, Chef Chronos Chan from Carpigiani and other world-class chefs showcased advanced cooking technology for easier and more efficient cooking, without compromising taste.  

The ASEAN Barista Team Championship brings together baristas from ASEAN countries, including Thailand, Brunei, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan ROC, and Vietnam, to showcase their speed, accuracy, and craftsmanship as a team. Brunei’s Bean Bandits compete against the Philippines’ Team Clutch, for the Final Round (Runner Up Set). The winner will be announced at the end of 8 March.
